celebrating libraries - how libraries changed your life.

(haha..apparently i am really bored. so yea..)

Libraries - the banks of knowledge. You borrow and return the books, but the knowledge will be within you for good. That's certainly a plus for us - unlimited knowledge.

(haha..can see tt i am overusing the word - knowledge. haha..bleahx. limited vocab cannot ah?)

So what can I say? I grew up with Sweet Valley kids and the Babysitters Club. (HAHAHA!)

Reading had changed me from someone oblivious of the world outside to someone who can't wait to grow up, to face the challenges and fun awaiting us. (haha!)

Storybooks give a different dimension to life, where you are able to look from the point of the 3rd party. This gives a broader view to the situation and the solution thus comes obvious. However, is it so easy in the real life?

Fiction makes use of the power of words to weave a beautiful story. Isn't it amazing that such simple words can make you unable to put down the book for hours, or until you know what happen to the character in the end?

In this competitive society, one will need more than linguistic abilities to stay ahead in the race. The ending does not comes at the turn of the page, rather on the day u bid the world farewell.

Having seen the world out of storybooks, I would very much prefer to go back to the innocent childhood and immerse in fairytales. For that, characters always "lived happily ever after".

Libraries had introduced me to the thing called storybooks; (haha!) a great invention to release stress and/or to escape from the cruelty of mankind. These stories let me know that no matter how sticky the situation you are in, there will always be a solution, and nevertheless a happy ending. These taught me to look on the bright side, to face each obstacles with a =) and there will be the rainbow after the rain.

Now that the library is nearer to my house - just a stone throw away - I will continue visiting it and irritate the librarians! (HAHAHA!)

(conclusion? did it change ur life? NAH! hahaha...den wad's de pt of this? BLEAHX)
